With the 2010-2011 school year now in full swing, The Lighting Quotient is celebrating the power of education in this newsletter issue.
From the classroom, library and cafeteria to the natatorium, auditorium, and parking areas, lighting plays an integral role in the education and learning process, helping to enhance performance and promote creativity among students and faculty. The Lighting Quotient products – including elliptipar and tambient – are well suited to support the varied lighting needs of educational facility lighting and ultimately to promote visual comfort for students, staff and the community.
Highlights of our work in education, from public and private institutions ranging from K through 12 to University, are featured in our new Schools brochure >>.

Every two years, 20 college teams compete to design, build and operate highly energy- efficient, completely solar-powered houses in the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon. This is a prestigious competition that The Lighting Quotient has supported with donated product for several years. And this year, elliptipar’s F303 concealed cove fixtures were part of Virginia Tech’s winning design, which travelled to Europe to compete in the first ever Solar Decathlon Europe.
